This course provides the necessary knowledge for the participants to demonstrate the principle of Operations and Maintenance related to Pressure Vessels and their associated Equipment.

This course has been designed to provide a good understanding and approach to the information required to understand the construction, operation and maintenance of Pressure Vessels.  The inspection and regulations are different depending on application and regional requirements.  The technician must be aware of the different regulations and applications.  This will allow the technician to be more dependable and productive.  Knowledge gained from this course will allow the technician to participate further through on-job training and further practical experience. 

This course will provide a good understanding of the theories related to Pressure Vessels in the Industry.  This course will provide the learner with an understanding of this technology and its applications at the technician’s level, developing confident and professional enthusiasm, therefore, increasing the safe and productive efficiency that will come through this training.

The following Topics will be covered allowing the Technician a much stronger understanding of the Operation and Maintenance of Machinery and Equipment in the Petroleum Industry
The course will begin with a review of the course outline and the daily activities scheduled for each day.

Day 1 - Identification

The trainee’s will participate in classroom assignments in both a group participation as well as individual research assignments.  To provide the understanding of necessary regulations used to provide safe and efficient operation and maintenance of pressure vessels and their associated equipment

Day 2 – Inspections and Testing

  • Hydrostatic Testing
  • Non Destructive Testing

    • Internal

The trainees will learn proper procedures to safely assess the condition and operation of the pressure vessel used in the systems discussed. 

This course is mainly targeted to Mechanical Technicians in Oil and Gas industry working in the field as an introduction or refresher.

The course can also be applicable to employees working with equipment purchasing, procurement, storage, and job planning as well as immediate supervisors to the working technicians.
