Discussion will focus on the principles of operation of two-phase separation as well as the different kinds of two-phase separators that are available.
Participants will also be exposed to the operation of the two-phase separator, its internal parts and the associated equipment used to support the two-phase separation process.

Day 1
System Overview

On day 1, participants will gain a general overview of the types of two-phase separation systems found in the oil industry today. With the use of flow diagrams the two-phase separator’s operation in relation to whole process will be discussed.

During day 2, participants will focus on understanding of the internal parts of the two phase separator. They will also gain knowledge about the operation of the two-phase separator and control strategy used to separate the gas-oil mixture. Safety devices and the connection to the ESD system will also be discussed.
This course is mainly targeted to process technicians, process technologists, instrumentation personnel, and safety and maintenance personnel.
