Chemical Treatment

This course provides the basic knowledge for the safe operation, and management of chemical treatment systems found in the oil and gas industry. The course emphasizes the extreme importance of these systems on the safe and efficient operation of the entire plant.

Discussion will focus on the hardware needed to provide chemical injection in a plant environment. The various types of chemicals that are used in a typical oil and gas installation will also be reviewed.

As the course progresses, participants will be exposed to the operating criteria for chemical injection as well as the operation, characteristics of common chemicals used and the safety aspects that must be considered.
